Course Overview
![Brain-based learning](/uploads/5/9/0/5/59058949/3573775.jpg?188)
This course explores effective learning strategies that strengthen long-term memory, primarily based on the work of Brown, Roediger, and McDaniel (2014). Empirical research conducted by cognitive scientists has demonstrated that common learning techniques and study habits are actually ineffective and do not promote long-term retention.
In this workshop, participants will be exposed to information about how the brain learns and be given tips to improve learning using techniques that empirical research has proven strengthens memory. The information in this course can benefit everyone, from students and life-long learners to parents, teachers, and professional trainers.
